The reserves missed a great opportunity to consolidate their hold on 3rd place losing 1-0 to a St Andrews side who were boosted by a larger than usual crowd for the opening of their excellent new facilities.

With Acle and Waveney both losing but Mulbarton winning, it is now getting very tight for 3rd place.
Wroxham were missing Ollie Ebbage, Danny Rogers & Archie Galley who were called up to the 1st team and included youth Seamus Bobby & George Edwards.
Wroxham started off well enough at Thorpe Rec and a shot from Sev Mokake just cleared the bar on 5 minutes.
But Saints started to get a foothold in the game and were first to the ball almost every time. Darren Bowen headed over for them on 12 minutes to demonstrate some recent wins were not just good fortune.
The young Yachtsmen had a let off on 20 minutes when an attempted pass back to goalkeeper Lemmon did not reach him and was intercepted by Ryan Pye who appeared to be upended by the Wroxham ‘keeper but referee Lewiss decided he had dived.
Wroxham did not learn from this mistake as Lemmon had again to be on his metal to tip over a shot from Bowen on 26 minutes.
A minute later they fell behind. A cross from Charlie Autlet was adjudged to have been handled by Liam Brock as the referee awarded a penalty which was converted by Sam Whiting who sent Lemmon the wrong way.
This goal gave Saints a boost as they put Wroxham well & truly on the back-foot for almost the remainder of the half while a strong shot from Aaron Attree which was blocked on the line was about all Wroxham had to offer.
From a Wroxham perspective there was more interest shown in the protest banner flying around Carrow Road than the action on the pitch!
Not surprisingly the management laced into the players at half time and changes were made with Steve Kidd taken off for Tom Jewell and skipper Shaun Taylor asked to take a role up front.
This appeared to have some effect as Wroxham started the second half much better. Taylor was looking for an opening when he was brought down but referee Lewiss dismissed loud appeals.
Good play by Jack Parker set up Taylor and ‘keeper Martin Owen did well to block his shot. While Wroxham generally huffed & puffed they carried no real threat as Owen hardly had a direct shot during the remainder of the half. The remaining subs were brought on as Wroxham had Saints on the back foot just as much it had been the other way in the 1st half. Harley Lemmon was performing in a sweeper role and had just a couple of chances where he had to turn over shots from the home side.
But all in all it was a disappointing performance from the visitors who had “a bad day at the office”.
