The reserved avenged an earlier defeat by CEYMS at Trafford Park to earn a hard fought 3-1 win.

Wroxham quickly got into a rhythm and got their passing game together. They almost went ahead in the first two minutes as Shaun Taylor’s cross was cleared off the line by Lewis McKerrell. It didn’t take long for them to take the lead as Aaron Rogers set up Danny Rogers to turn and shoot past Dylan Cooke in the 4th minute.
The visitors should have had a second a minute later when a superb move saw Ollie Ebbage set Rogers away and he passed to Aaron Attree who combined with Taylor for the latter to get in a shot which went over the bar.
Then Taylor made a mistake losing the ball in midfield and it reached Steve Kelly on the left who set up Lewis Easter to sidefoot past Harley Lemmon on 10 minutes for an equaliser.
That rather took the wind out of the Yachtsmen sails as CEYMS got more in the game. Ollie Ebbage was caught overplaying ball and was beaten by Kelly who ran on and should have scored but shot wide.
Danny Rogers was putting himself about and played in Attree on 26 minutes who looked likely to score but the keeper quickly came off his line to block the shot and deny the Wroxham player.
Another good move again involved Rogers as he set up James Baughurst, who pulled his shot wide.
A free-kick from Lewis Meecham found Ebbage in space but he headed wide.
On 42 minutes good perseverance from Attree enabled him to get the ball to Rogers who played in Shaun Taylor to shoot past Cooke and give Wroxham the lead again.
Within two minutes it was 3-1 as Meecham & Rogers combined for a cross to the far post which was turned in by Ollie Ebbage to give Wroxham a nice half-time cushion.
The second half was a non-event as far as the score-line was concerned with CEYMS pushing forward and Wroxham having to defend and catch them on the break.
This worked very well with only a shot from Ross McClaren which went wide causing any concern.
Then in the 84th minutes the best move of the half saw Baughurst set Attree whose shot also went wide.
Baughurst and sub Steve Kidd combined to again setup Attree but he was unable to finish.
CEYMS continued to press and almost scored a second late on when Lemmon punched away a corner which was returned for Sam Gauntlett to clear off the line. An overhead kick also went wide as Wroxham held on to take the points and set them up for Tuesday’s game against 2nd place Harleston.
