Despite being down to 10 men for 70 minutes Wroxham Reserves put in a good performance against Long Stratton to deserve a point in a 0-0 draw.

Wroxham Reserves came into this game looking to bounce back from defeat at Mulbarton 2 weeks ago.
With a strong line up of at least 8 players who have all featured for the first team at some stage during the season, Kaine and Damian were confident of 3pts.
Stratton though came out of the blocks the quicker of the two sides and put the Wroxham defence under pressure from the off. But with new signing Liam Brock starting alongside Ollie Ebbage and Archie Galley dropping in at right fullback with Sammy Gauntlett at left back it was going to be hard work for Stratton to break down a solid looking defence.
Finally after about 10 mins of digging in the visitors started to settle in and got together thei passing game on a difficult pitch. Cruise Nyadzayo and Matt Doyle were causing problems out wide with captain Shaun Taylor , James Baughurst and the impressive Severin Morare in midfield. A good through ball to Jordan Attree brought the first of many controversial decisions from the referee in the first half. Attree with an excellent first touch burst into the box and appeared to be hacked down for a blatant penalty only for referee Reeves to book the Wroxham number 9 for an alleged dive which merely livened up proceedings.
On 20 minutes again the referee decided that with Jordy competing for a ball on the half way line and the Stratton centre half trying to head a ball about a foot off the floor the ref decided that the Wroxham player deserved a second yellow and a red to follow. This decision also resulted in one half of the Wroxham management team sent to the changing rooms.
Wroxham despite having 10 men continued to push forward and control the game with Stratton throwing bodies forward to counter this and try to make the extra man count. But to Wroxham's credit they worked tirelessly to get to half time 0-0
In the second half Stratton again came out strongest and a couple of dangerous crosses in to the Wroxham box saw Page come close to giving the home side the lead.
Then at the other end Stratton keeper Bilham made a fine double save to prevent Doyle and Nyadzayo from giving Wroxham the lead.. Danny Rogers replaced the lively Nyadzao on 65mns,as there were chances at both ends with the ref constantly stopping play and not letting it flow. Another Wroxham change saw Arron Attree replace James Baughurst who had a solid game. Wroxham got a free kick 25 yards from goal in the 85th min it had Aaron's name wriiten all over it after his free-kick against Kirkley. He stepped up but fired just over.
So a point gained, which after playing 70 mins with 10 men was a good result.
Some impressive performances from the whole squad today and even the Long Stratton officials agreed we were unfortunate to have our player dismissed.
On to next week.away to Waveney.
