There was to be no last-minute comeback for the Reserves against Norwich CEYMS as there had been at Kirkley the week before.

Earlier the young Wroxham side had levelled at 2-2 by half-time after being two goals down but CEYMS score the only goal in the second half to take the points.
CEYMS were expected to be tough opponents and they duly showed their potential straight from the kick-off as they started on the offensive with several dangerous attacks.
Then a scramble on the goal line saw the ball hit the underside of the bar before hitting a Wroxham player on the arm. With CEYMS players appealing for handball, Harley Lemmon pounced on the ball to relieve the pressure.
But this would be only last for two minutes as CEYMS deservedly took the lead on 8 minutes. Lewis Allen bundled his way past two Wroxham defenders to side foot off the far post beyond Lemmon’s despairing dive to give the visitors the lead.
At this stage it was all CEYMS as a clever lob from David Taylor hit the bar and Wroxham rode their luck. It was no surprise when they added a second as left back Dan Nelson waltzed through to score on 14 minutes.
But Wroxham clawed themselves back in the game and by 30 minutes they were level. A lovely move ended with a perfect cross from Harry Maddison to set up a simple side foot home for Aaron Attree. Soon after Maddison was on target himself as Wtoxham were back on level terms.
There were still chances at both ends as Darrell Delaney for CEYMS found himself clean thro’ and should have done better but shot wide. A good Wroxham move saw the ball played back to Archie Galley whose long range shot was just wide.
There was an early scare for Wroxham early in the second half as Delaney burst through to shoot goalward and this was followed by a goalmouth scramble where the ball was eventually poked wide.
CEYMS regained the lead on 60 mins when Lewis Allan swivelled on the penalty spot to volley past Lemmon giving the Wroxham keeper no chance.
Wroxham were now pressing forward to get themselves back in the game. The closest they came was a long range effort from Jordan Attree which was just wide as CEYMS held in to take the points. But it was not to be their day as CEYMS held on to take the points.
