It needed a superb last gasp free-kick by Aaron Attree to earn a point against lowly Kirkley & Pakefield Res in a 3-3 draw.

Earlier a brace from brother Jordan had given Wroxham a deserved first half lead but the Royals fought back in the second period to take the lead and it required some excellent saves by Harley Lemmon to avoid the Yachtsmen falling to defeat.
Wroxham started the game on the front foot and a lovely pass from Archie Galley out to Marcus Wilkinson almost brought an early lead. Wilkinson used his pace to get in a cross for Jordan Attree to side foot home but he mistimed and the ball flew over the bar.
A free kick by Billy Wenn was palmed away by Adam Rix in the Kirkley goal.
Against the run of play Kirkley took the lead following some sloppy defensive play. A back-heel by Kaiden Goldspink found ex-Hoveton player Lee Will who rounded Lemmon to tap into an empty net.
Then Lemmon made an excellent save to deny Ryan Hunt.
A strong shot by Archie Galley was pulled down by Rix on 25 minutes.
Kirkley again broke away from a Wroxham corner as Goldspink played in Hunt who shot across goal and wide of the far post.
Wroxham equalised on 36 minutes when a free kick by Wenn was firmly headed in by Jordan Attree.
Soon after Wroxham gained the lead when Jack Parker was adjudged to have been tripped enabling Jordan Attree to convert the resulting penalty.
Jordan Attree should have had a hat-trick when he released his brother Aaron who returned the pass only to see the ball spooned over.
Kirkley had a good chance as the ball pinged across the box but there was no one to convert.
Wroxham also had a chance to give themselves a two-goal lead just before half-time but Aaron Attree’s shot across goal hit the outside of the post.
The visitors were to pay for those missed chances as Kirkley came out strongly at the start of the second half.
A brilliant save by Lemmon denied them an immediate equaliser but they did go level in the next attack. Lee Will who was causing plenty of problems beat Ed Abery and advanced to shoot past Lemmon.
The Wroxham ‘keeper was then called upon to make several saves and twice he beat the ball away.
Stephen Kidd came on to replace Marcus Wilkinson and soon made his presence felt with a couple of shots.
A good effort by Jordan Attree brought a decent save by Rix diving to his left.
There was almost an inspired substitution when Harry Maddison came on as he flicked the ball to Jordan Attree whose shot was again palmed away but Aaron Attree missed the follow-up.
Kirkley then broke away on 83 minutes and Will scored his hat-trick which looked likely to ensure The Royals took the points as Lemmon continued to deny them with further saves.
But Aaron Attree ensured Wroxham nicked a point in the last minute with an excellently taken free-kick from 30 yards. He fired his kick over the wall into the top corner giving Rix no chance this time.
Wroxham felt lucky to have gained a point with their first draw this season.
Kirkley looked a better side than their league position suggested but Wroxham will need to convert their chances in next week’s game with Norwich CEYMS and will certainly have to improve their defending.
