Two second half goals from Danny Rogers and Jordan Attree were enough to take the points and it may have been more but for a penalty miss. To be fair the home side had a number of good chances particularly in the first half but some inspired goalkeeping by Wroxham custodian Kingsley Barnes kept them at bay apart from the opening goal midway through the first half.
The young Yachtsmen with a considerable number of U18 players almost took the lead within two minutes but Rob Turner’s header went wide. Then Scole had a chance when a cross from the right was set up for Arun Lucraft but his header brought a great tip-over from Barnes which was to be the first of several fine saves.
Danny Rogers set up Turner on 13 minutes but the youngster shot hastily and clouted his shot beyond the far post.
Neat build-up play led to Jordan Attree’s lay-off setting up Tim Cary but he too shot wide.
A mistake by Mac Gee almost led to the opening goal. The defender lost the ball but recovered to clear for a throw. This resulted in a long throw which caused panic stations for the Wroxham defence and only a last ditch clearance over the bar by Alex Philpott stopped it entering the net.
Another high ball deceived Philpott leaving Ben Norton time to nip in to get in a shot which again brought an excellent save from Barnes to save his colleagues blushes with a block off his legs in the next move.
Wroxham did have chances themselves as Jordon Attree’s shot was cleared off the line but it was perhaps no surprise when Scole took the lead on 26 minutes. The Wroxham defence was caught out again leaving Will Goulding to nip in and lob the ball over Barnes and in the net.
A miss-placed pass from Attree almost led to a second for the home side but Arun Lucraft’s shot was put round for a corner. From this the cross came over and another shot seemed to be heading for the top corner until Barnes brought of another brilliant save.
The visitors held out until half-time with Scole still in the ascendancy.

Wroxham responded to the half-time team talk and came out with greater intent. A good effort on the turn by Attree was well saved by the Scole ‘keeper diving to his right and a follow-up by Bradley Spooner was also turned round.
The defensive problems continued to beset some improved play and when Philpott lost the ball, Scole’s Ben Norton again brought a fine save from Barnes. Tim Cary also received an unnecessary booking by arguing with the referee and continuing misconduct.
But Wroxham were having a greater share of the play now and a strong run from Sam Grady led to the equaliser on 65 minutes. He passed to Danny Rogers who swivelled to get in a lovely shot which swept past a despairing dive from Buckmaster into the bottom corner.
Wroxham took the lead on 75 minutes with another good move. Danny Rogers attacked the home defence to get to the byline and pull the ball back across goal leaving Jordan Attree with the simple task of hitting the roof of the net.
Tommy Knight then came on for Nathan Caston and he typically started to hassle the Scole defence and this almost led to a third goal from the penalty spot. Danny Rogers was tripped and despite home protests, referee Paul Quick pointed to the spot. Jordan Attree stepped up to take the kick but Buckmaster guessed correctly and made a good save diving to his right.
Although Scole made effort to get back, Wroxham held on to take the points.
