The Shannocks had to win which led to a lively start with both sides attacking as the game flowed from end to end. A 25 yarder from Cain Eagleton almost brought an opening goal on 12 minutes but Sheringham ‘keeper Nathan Lomax pulled off a fine save. At the other end Jamie Nelson broke down the left for the home side to get in cross for Any Hubbard but he lashed his shot over.
Somewhat against the run of play, Sheringham took the lead on 27 minutes with a strange decision by referee Ricky Owen. Wroxham appeared to have broken down attack by the hosts and were clearing up field only for the official to point to the spot possibly for some pushing or holding. Whatever Nelson took the spot kick to send Ollie Sutton the wrong way.
This gave Sheringham a boost and the visitors were indebted to Sutton for a good save to deny Hubbard adding to the lead on 30 minutes
A lovely pass from Jack Smith found Danny Rogers whose shot beat the keeper but was cleared off the line. Wroxham soon found a way back and equalised on 35 minutes when Rogers battled for the ball with a defender and it fell lose for Elliott Rose who scored from an acute angle.
Wroxham tool the lead on 42 minutes when a defender failed to clear and Mac Gee pounced to get in a perfect cross for Danny Rogers to side foot in at the far post.
Then a shot from Tim Cary troubled the keeper who managed to get across and stop the Wroxham player’s shot entering near the top corner. This was followed by a cynical foul by Sheringham’s Matt Hooker on Rogers just as he was heading towards goal and very close to the penalty area. The referee duly sent off the home player but awarded a free kick just outside the area. Tyler Curran’s took the kick and he brought a splendid save from Lomax who dived full length to turn the shot away.

Wroxham had an early chance to increase their lead at the start of the second half but Rogers fired over. Then following a strong run by Eagleton he fed Rose whose shot shaved the post.
A great run by Curran set up Rogers who ran on a looked certain to score but hit the post. After Jack Smith was booked for arguing, 10 man Sheringham suddenly hauled themselves back. A long ball down the middle reached Nelson who shot between Sutton’s legs to equalise.
Almost immediately Wroxham restored their lead with a quite stunning shot from Tim Cary 25 yards out that looped over the keeper into the far corner.
Soon after Wroxham scored again when Eagleton was tamely pushed aside but the referee awarded a penalty. Jack Smith made no mistake from the spot.
Rogers then had a chance to make it 5 but the keeper did well to block his shot for a corner. A few moments later the youngster who was having an excellent game ran into the area and was fouled from behind which could have seen Sheringham reduced to 9 but referee Owen generously just awarded another penalty. This time, Smith’s spot kick was skied over.
Wroxham brought on all their subs and continued to create chances but were unable to add to the score. This result meant Wroxham were able to climb two places up the table and further away from the relegation spot but leaving Sheringham deeply in the mire.
