Wroxham started well but it was St Andrews who had the best chance when their No 4 got forward and with a free header, headed over on 10 minutes.
Wroxham hit the bar when Tim Cary set up Luke Priestly who tried to chip the 'keeper but his effort came back off the woodwork.
Wroxham had a let-off when Ben Lewis and Ollie Sutton had a communication breakdown that enabled ex-Wroxham player Damon Bensley a free run towards goal but he shot over Sutton and the bar.
Then a mistake by Cain Eagleton allowed Bensley another opening but again he missed the chance. Wroxham almost went ahead when Cary chased down a long ball which bounced off the keeper's chest who almost ran the ball over the line as he recovered to collect.
Wroxham were now playing better and a good move set up Cary but he shot straight at the keeper when well placed near the penalty spot.
At the other end Sutton did well to turn over a shot from Chris Priest for a corner just before the interval.
