After just four minutes Wroxham gained an early lead when a corner on the right was taken by Marcus Wilkinson and reached Jordan Attree who lobbed the ball back for Ben Lewis to strike a volley in the top corner.
Then three minutes later another corner was taken short to Wilkinson who hit a low shot from the edge of the area into the bottom corner with the Wymondham ‘keeper unsighted.
As the game settled the home side who were shell-shocked by the visitors start, gained a little more confidence with some competitive play without causing any real threat. But Wroxham had the best chance to increase their lead when young Will Bennett was released by Attree but he screwed his shot with only the ‘keeper to beat.
At the other end, a mistake by Tyler Curran with an intended back pass allowed Wymondham a chance to pull one back which was missed A minute later and Ollie Sutton pulled off a brilliant save to turn away a shot from No 10.
As the home increased the pressure they gained a corner from which the Wroxham goal led a charmed life as the ball ricochet arounf the box and Sutton made a couple of smart saves to keep the ball out before it was finally cleared.
Then Wroxham increased their lead shortly before the break with a sucker goal. A determined run by Jordan King and a swift one two got him in the box and he picked his spot to give the Wymondham ‘keeper no chance.

Wroxham boss Laurence York demanded more of the same for the second period. While this half was more even, Wroxham always look in control and scored a 4th on 52 minutes with a lovely goal. Jordan King’s 40 yard free kick from inside his own half fell perfectly for Aaron Sanders to hit on the volley in the top corner. The game was effectively over and York brought on all his subs. There were still more chances as a great pass by King inside the full-back set Kirk Appleton away on his debut only for his clip over the ‘keeper to hit the post. The woodwork again came to the rescue of the home side when Sanders set up Attree whose shot hit the base of the post.
It was not all one way and just before the end, Ollie Sutton made a good block to ensure Wroxham kept a clean sheet in their opening game.
