After falling behind to an early wonder goal from relegation threatened Wymondham Town, Wroxham fought back to lead 2-1 through Laurence York and Elliott Wesby at the interval. But after a controversial penalty decision, Wymondham equalised midway through the second which boosted the hosts who went on to score two more.
Wymondham started very strongly on a bobbly pitch taking the lead inside two minutes. Lewis McKerrill's shot from 25 yards hit the top corner giving Kingsley Barnes no chance.
They almost had a second when a mistake by Sol Pope was nearly punished by Ben Guyton but Barnes pulled off a splendid save.
Wroxham equalised on 25 minutes winning a free kick about 10 outside the penalty area. Laurence Yorke's low shot was hit with power straight into the bottom corner past the Wymondham wall leaving 'keeper Gareth Mottram standing.
Barnes made another good save after 34 minutes tipping over a drive from Guyton who was set up by Rob Browne.
Wroxham were not playing well but took the lead two minutes before the break. Marcus Wilkinson made ground down the left before pulling back to Cain Eagleton who layed off for Elliott Wesby whose rasping shot with the outside of his boot sailed in the net.
Then Wroxham almost had a third with Sol Pope well forward his volley hitting the bar.

The clear instructions from team boss at half-time were to keep the ball make no mistakes and the game would be won. After Barnes had beaten down a solitary shot from Kaine Wetterand, this worked well until the 60th minute when Tyler Curran tried to clear the ball. To the amazement of most, the referee inexplicably accepted the decision of his assistant that the kick was dangerously high towards an incoming Wymondham player and awarded a penalty. Wetterand stepped up to send Barnes the wrong way and equalised.
This seemed to have a demoralising effect on the young Wroxham players and they fell behind again when Phil Mercer curled a lovely shot round Barnes on 70 minutes. The home side were now getting well on top and after a shot hit the bar, Wetterand followed up to head home on 80 minutes.
Wroxham never recovered as the home side almost got a fifth before the end.
