The winning goal came midway through the second half from former Yachtsman Keiron Patel and the visitors could have had more but for some poor finishing. Wroxham hardly created anything to threaten the Cromer defence throughout the whole ninety minutes.
The Wroxham ground staff worked hard during the morning to get the game on but was almost undone by a heavy shower at midday - however the pitch looked in good condition for kick-off.
Wroxham kicked off with a strong wind behind them and included new signing Daniel Broom from North Walsham,up front. For the first half hour most of the play was in the Cromer half but apart from winning a couple of corners they hardly threatened the visitors defence well marshalled by Paul Bradshaw.
Cromer finished the half strongly and should have taken the lead when a knockdown by Darren Terrington fell for Amos Bailey in the six yard but somehow he contrived to send the ball over the bar. Then Josh Halliday had a good chance but he shot well wide.

Immediately after half-time Cromer had another chance when a hooked shot from Terrington was cleared off the line for a corner.
Wroxham were struggling to get out of their half and Cromer started to get on top. A good breakaway by The Crabs saw Terrington set up No 2 who was well forward but he shot into the side netting.
A dangerous cross from Daniel Broom almost changed things but No 3 headed over.
Cromer made the breakthrough they had been threatening in the 65th minute when the ball was played out to the right for Patel - with Wroxham keeper Joe Green caught out in no man’s land his punt rolled into an empty net.
Wroxham threatened briefly to get back when a neat header by Ryan Guild set up Bromm whose shot went across goal missing the far post. Otherwise Wroxham created few real chances while Cromer were guilty of misses at the other end but did enough to complete a double over the Yachtsmen.
