Despite Wroxham taking the lead with a Jordan Attree penalty, Acle soon equalised and almost immediately went ahead before adding two more in the second half.
Wroxham included Jordan Attree up front after he had served a three match ban and had Danny Self returning from a long knee injury and happily had Ross Durrant back with both starting on the bench.
After the opening salvos Wroxham took the lead in the 12th minute when referee Edwin Reid spotted a handball by an Acle defender and had no hesitation in awarding a penalty despite protests from the visitors. Jordan Attree stepped up and hit the top corner with a perfectly struck kick from the spot.
The lead was held for less than five minutes as Acle scored and then went ahead with two goals in a minute. The first was started by Adam Hipperson who weaved his way in from the left and laid the ball on for former Wroxham player Ollie Savage to finish. Then dangerman Hipperson scored himself with a solo effort and a clinical finish a minute later.
The visitors had the ball in the net again on 23 minutes but this one was disallowed for offside. The Sterry Cup holders again ripped the Wroxham defence apart when Danny Anderson slipped the ball to Harry Maddison who seemed certain to score but his kick off the outside of his boot curled wide.
Wroxham lost Danny Boswell to a recurring injury and he was replaced by Durrant whose first shot was so far off target it showed he had not played for several weeks.

Wroxham had an early chance in the second half when a cross from the right was dropped by Scott Foreman and the ball dropped for Attree but his effort was blocked.
Almost immediately Acle broke away to the other end and that man Hipperson again left Eagleton for dead and stepped along the byline to set up Anderson who side-footed home for Acle’s third goal.
As Ross Durrant improved on his earlier effort a typical 25 yarder from the Wroxham player was narrowly wide. Young Danny Rogers was withdrawn as he was finding a game against the champions somewhat tougher than last week at Caister and he was replaced by Danny Self.
Wroxham were undone again on 70 minutes when they made a substitution but before Blake Robinson could take up his position at right back, Acle played the ball quickly for Anderson to set up Harry Maddison to tap home for a 4th.
Acle almost had a 5th when a Hipperson corner found No 4 whose free header was just wide. Wroxham seemed to want to give them a chance to increase their lead when a miss-placed pass by Danny Rust fell for No 14 who brought a fine save from the Wroxham ‘keeper.
Despite a spirited fight back Wroxham were unable to break down a strong Acle defence as they crashed to a second defeat by Acle which meant a further slip down the table.
