Wroxham Reserves gained a useful 4-2 win against St Andrews to take them up to 2nd in the table.

Following an inspection by referee Larry Choate, the pitch was passed fit for play but it was a very sticky surface after early morning rain.
Wroxham made a good start with Jamie Speller’s shot blocked and Rio Starkings follow-up just over. Then Speller’s strong shot hit the side netting.
The Yachtsmen deservedly took the lead on 11 minutes when Jamie Forshaw’s shot was blocked on the line but the ball fell for Jack Smith to follow-up and score.
Wroxham continued to play the better football but St Andrews were getting forward and their No 9 went close with No 11 even closer when he side foot-footed wide with the goal at his mercy.
There was no surprise when the Saints pulled level on 35 minutes although it required a stroke of luck when former Yachtsmen George Brooks shot was diverted by Rafael Gure past Ollie Sutton who was going the wrong way.
Wroxham regained the lead on 40 minutes with a well worked move that saw Danny Self leave the ball for Jack Smith to cross for Danny Boswell to ram home.

The home side started the second half on the front foot and an excellent cross from Speller was pulled back to the on-rushing Joe Marsden who side-footed towards goal but the Saints keeper pulled off an excellent save diving to his left.
At the other end a shot from No 11 was straight at Sutton and required a bit more composure.
Another good Wroxham move saw Forshaw get to the by line to pull back for Speller whose shot was again well save by the Saints keeper who excelled again to deny Sam Harty.
Wroxham finally scored a third on 70 minutes when Remy Gordon's in-swinging corner was flighted perfectly for Rio Starkings this time to head a bullet past the Saints keeper giving him no chance.
This should have been game won but Saints pulled one back on 78 minutes when they worked the ball down the right and it was pulled back for Lewis Brock to score although it looked to have been off Martin McNeil sending Sutton the wrong way again.
Saints were looking to level but Wroxham restored their two-goal advantage with a weird goal that had the the visitors appealing for offside. The ball cannoned off a Wroxham player and appeared to be going out of play but Jamie Forshaw hooked the ball back from where he was standing on the goal-line straight into the path of Jordan Attree who slammed the ball home past his former club. The officials allowed the goal to stand and give Wroxham a 4-2 lead.
There was still time for the Saints keeper to make another brilliant save, this time from Aaron Sanders whose left foot shot seemed to be curling towards the top corner. In the last minute Sanders cross was headed wide by Attree who should have scored.
The win did Wroxham a favour as they moved up to second place on goal difference.
