

Cromer did most of the early attacking but Wroxham had the first corner when Jamie George forced his way through but it came to nothing.
A mistake by young Aaron Sanders was almost punished when Karl Horton was put thro’ by the youngsters wayward pass back but Luis Tibbles on his debut saved the day doing well turn to round the Cromer midfielders shot for a corner. This in turn was cleared off the line by Ben Jones.
Wroxham weathered the early storm and started to gain confidence. Jamie George as the main attacker in a 4-5-1 formation created a couple of chances for himself but failed to find the finishing touch with either of them.
Former Wroxham player, Steve Jordan was booked for a clumsy foul on George . The freekick was taken by Joe Marsden who found Martin McNeil well forward with a glancing header that was only just wide of the far post. Then Marsden created an opening for himself with a solo run but his left foot curling shot was just over. Jack Smith also went in the referee’s notebook when he tripped a Cromer player.
Wroxham were certainly causing the home side plenty of problems as Marsden again set up George who forced Andy Jackson into a fine full length save.

After a promising first half display, Wroxham were forced into a change at the start of the second period as Sanders came off and was replaced by Matt Doyle. They continued to attack and had the perfect chance to take the lead when Jones put George clean through. With Jackson off his line the Wroxham striker had time to lob the keeper but instead he tried to blast the ball home and his shot was misdirected wide of the goal.
Cromer were being pegged back relying on breakaways although they might have scored when Antoni Fawkes shot over from Horton’s corner.
Wroxham had the ball in the net on 65 minutes when Doyle finished off a good move but the referee had already awarded a freekick for a foul on Masrden instead of allowing play to continue.
Wroxham were left to rue a number of clear chances and as the game started to open up Cromer scored against the run of play on 75 minutes. They worked the ball down the left to get in a shot which Tibbles blocked but the ball fell kindly for Ben Furlong to return into the bottom corner.
Wroxham came back with Sam Harty playing a lovely through ball for Marsden whose shot missed the far post by inches. But despite their best efforts the young Yachtsmen could not get back and Cromer almost had a second when Furlong set up Fawkes who looked offside as he faced Tibbles only to shoot wide.
A good performance by the Wroxham youngster's following last weeks win at Blofield which should give them confidence in games to come.
