The hosts had the first chance when Luke Ingram’s cross was headed over by John Sands.
But on 14 minutes Wroxham had a good chance of their own from a corner but the header was off target.
With 23 minutes played, Sands saw his header well saved by Elliot Pride to keep the score level before Ingram was once again in the action as his shot was wide of the post.

Half Time: Needham Market 0-0 Wroxham

After the interval and it was The Reds who were on the front foot. Sands capitalised on an awful mix up in the Wroxham defence before firing hard and low into the goal to give Needham the lead on 57 minutes.
Wroxham had 2 or 3 chances to get back in the game but didn’t really have the strike power to cause too many problems for a tidy Needham defence. Ross Gilfedder won headers but had no support to take advantage.
Elliot Pride made a number of excellent saves and was man of the match.
Jack Guyton also played well on his recall to the save and bore the brunt of a crunching tackle which deserved a red card for Sam Nunn but the referee was lenient with just a yellow.

Needham substitute Ollie Snaith replaced Jack Curtis and he doubled the home sides lead in the 83rd minute following a breakaway. It was Snaiths first goal for the club and it sealed their progression through to the next round.

Although Wroxham had plenty of defending to do, there were some promising signs and they didn't play badly against higher opponents. As they return to league action against Brentwood on Tues, if they continue to play as they did at Bloomfields hopefully it will not be long before they start to climb the table.
