

The Yachtsmen opened the scoring inside 35 seconds when Joe Marsden ran through unchallenged to put the Yachtsmen in front.
Erith levelled on 7 minutes when Paul Springett rounded the ‘keeper to slot home. Wroxham regained the lead on 30 minutes with another solo effort from Marsden. Then a lovely shot in the bottom corner from Remy Gordon gave the home side a 3-1 half-time lead.
In the second period The Yachtsmen were rampant and further goals followed from Ross Durrant, Remy Gordon, Daniel Broom & Stephen Drake.
Wroxham must now wait to see if they get a reprieve from The FA.
The Yachtsmen needed a confidence booster ahead of their Norfolk Senior Cup Final with Gorleston and got it within 35 seconds of the start when a sparkling run from Joe Marsden, saw the fullback run through the visiting defence in typical fashion to finish past Daniel Clarke.
The Deres applied pressure and almost had an equaliser when winger Marcus Cassius’ shot hit the bar on 5 minutes before being cleared,.They didn’t have to wait long before they were level when Paul Springett rounded Wroxham stand in‘keeper Kingsley Barnes and slotted home from a narrow angle.
Wroxham had the ball in the net again on 15 minutes when Marsden pulled the ball back for Ross Durrant to convert but the Assistant’s flag was raised and the effort was disallowed.
Then Tim Cary hit the bar connecting onto a cross from Remy Gordon.
However the home side increased their lead on 28 minutes when Cary set up Joe Marsden who was again marauding forward and he ran on to slide the ball past Clarke.
A good pass from Sam Harty found Remy Gordon on the edge of the area and he turned to get in a rasping shot into the bottom corner to increase Wroxham a 3-1 lead on 38 minutes.
The Yachtsmen were playing with a great deal of confidence and almost had a 4th when Gordon again ran through and the ‘keeper made an excellent save and as the ball ran free to Durrant pulled off another to save the blockbuster from the No 10.
Another brilliant run from Marsden set up Gordon whose shot hit the bar as Wroxham were unlucky not to add to the score before half-time.

Wroxham came out for the second half looking to add to increase their lead and it wasn't long before they did. Gordon went close before some fine inter-play left Ross Durrant with a chance to convert, which he did on 57 minutes.
Soon after there was a 5th when Gordon and ran onto a through ball to slot past Clarke.
Playing with a great deal of new found self-confidence throughout they team almost added a 6th in spectacular style. Marsden who was again in the penalty area had the audacity for an over-head bicycle kick which almost came off but for a point blank save by The Deres custodian.
Jack Guyton came on and almost scored with his first shot a long range effort that just flew wide.
But another sub, Daniel Broom, made no mistake when receiving from Cary he shot across the keeper into the far corner for a 6th on 83 minutes.
The scoring did not stop there and Stephen Drake added a 7th on 86 minutes, battling to win the ball before shooting under Clarke for Wroxham 7th and best win of the season.
