Courtney White and Jacob Cleaver were both guilty of missing good chances for the home side early on, before the latter struck the post with a drilled half volley on 30 minutes.
Wroxham’s Tim Cary was denied by some great last ditch defending by Martyn Stokes, before Joe Marsden curled just wide from 25 yards with 13 minutes to go.
Remy Gordon had a late effort blocked in front of goal as Wroxham pressed in the final minutes, but both sides had to settle for a point in a rather uninspiring contest.
The Yachtsmen will see the result as a point gained in their hunt for survival, with some good defensive organisation and effort from the players epitomising their afternoon’s work.
Wroxham made three changes from the side that lost to Chatham, with Sam Harty, Aaron Sanders and Sam Groves all returning at the expense of Danny Rust and Jack Guyton – who dropped to the bench – and Jordan King.
Both sides seemed intent on attacking from the off, the home side creating two great chances to take the lead early on.
Courtney White was guilty of missing the first on five minutes, showing some neat footwork to make his way into the box before scuffing his effort just wide from six yards.
The tall striker was causing numerous problems for the Wroxham back four, setting up Jacob Cleaver for another gilt edged chance three minutes later, the winger miss kicking at the wrong moment when free from 12 yards.
Wroxham were creating chances in fits and starts, Gordon drilling an inviting ball across the box that failed to find a teammate, before White went down the other end drew a superb stop from Robert Juhasz, the striker finding space before drilling in an effort that the Slovakian palmed away with purpose.
Brentwood looked the more likely to break the deadlock as the game reached the half hour mark, Cleaver coming within inches of giving his side the lead as his half volley from just inside the box cannoned back off the left upright and out to safety.
Wroxham’s passing was neat without too much incision, before a lovely dinked ball through from Sam Harty almost got them in.
The midfielder found space halfway into the Brentwood half on 42 minutes, lofting a lovely ball behind the host’s defence for Tim Cary to chase, the winger being just beaten to the ball from six yards by a superb last ditch tackle from Martyn Stokes.
The second half began in pretty uninspiring fashion, neither side giving the other much space as it stayed goalless.
Ryan O’Rawe had a weak header that bobbled wide just before the hour mark for Brentwood, with a Sam Bantick drilled effort five minutes later almost causing problems for the Wroxham defence, with Matt Halliday clearing at the second attempt.
Wroxham introduced Daniel Broom with 20 minutes to go in an attempt to spark a bit of life and pace into a game that was in desperate need of it.
Marsden almost produced this moment of inspiration with a superb effort with 13 minutes left, the right back picking the ball up from Stephen Drake after some good hold up play by the striker, before unleashing a brilliant first time 25 yard effort that look destined for the top corner, only to curl away at the last minute.
Wroxham were finishing strong, a high free kick from Marsden with two minutes to go causing problems in the Brentwood defence, the ball falling to Gordon from eight yards out whose effort was well blocked on its way to goal.
But this would prove to be the final act of a dull encounter as both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils, a point that may prove vital for Wroxham come the end of the season.
