Wroxham seized the initiative early on, Paul Cook tapping in after a minute before Remy Gordon doubled their lead with 20 minutes gone, rounding the goalkeeper after a delicious Sam Harty through ball.
Former Wroxham player Matthew Daniels got Sudbury back into the game just before the break with the first of two deflected efforts for the visitors, with a Scott Mitchell header restoring parity after 65 minutes as Sudbury continued to press.
And the visitors turned the game completely on its head with 12 minutes remaining, James Barker’s effort deflecting off a pack of Wroxham defenders to complete the comeback.
It was a game of two halves, with Wroxham starting the brighter, before lady luck shined on the visitors with the two deflected efforts proving to be the difference between the sides.
Wroxham set the precedent in the first minute, taking the lead with a well worked free kick that allowed Paul Cook to tap in from two yards after a driven ball in from Joe Marsden.
With slippery conditions underfoot making it hard for either side to play any free passing football, aerial balls into the box seemed the best course of attack and Sudbury almost reaped the rewards from one of these 12 minutes in.
A ball from the left saw the visitors with men over, captain Michael Shinn being one, but his well struck half volley was expertly tipped over by Scott Cruickshank in the Wroxham goal.
Wroxham then produced the best bit of football of the first half to make it 2-0.
Midfielder Sam Harty managed to find space inside the centre circle, taking the ball into the Sudbury half before laying a perfectly weighted ball into the feet of Remy Gordon, who rounded the goalkeeper and ran it into the empty net.
Harty was one of few players trying to play the ball about, his wonderful through ball rewarding his perseverance, with many of his other attempts skidding off the slick surface.
The Sudbury players were also struggling with their touch, but former Yachtsman Matt Daniels managed to find his at just the right moment to pull one back a minute before the break.
His driven shot from the edge of the box was deflected by Ben Price, the deviation wrong footing Cruickshank in goal and he could only watch as the ball dribbled past him into the net.
Sudbury’s persistence then got them the equaliser it deserved as the game passed the hour mark, another aerial ball causing problems for the Wroxham defence as Scott Mitchell snuck in to direct his header into the far right corner for 2-2.
Joshua Carus then thought he had given the visitors the lead, but his header was disallowed for apparent pushing from a hanging Shinn free kick.
Wroxham found themselves playing on the counter as Sudbury pushed for a winner, substitute Jack Smith pouncing on a sliced clearance to fire a dangerous ball across the box, with Gordon unable to make the desired connection.
However, it was the visitors who would have the last word as another deflected effort, this time from substitute James Barker, silenced the Yachtsmen and gave Batch a successful return to his former hunting ground.
