Once again a fairly poor playing surface didn't help the Yachtsmen in their aim to come away from Tilbury with at least a point.

Wroxham started the first 10 minutes brightly, playing a direct style of play. But they went behind in the 23rd minute when they conceded a penalty following a mistake from Ben Jones. The penalty was converted by defender Aaron Waters.

The Yachtsmen responded well with Ben Thompson going close twice but was prevented a goal by the Tilbury goalkeeper who save twice with his legs.

The Dockers then went on to double their lead on 29 minutes from striker Danny Francis, who road two soft challenges from Gavin Lemmon and Ben Lewis before curling a shot beyond Hilton.

Wroxham started the second half better, and started winning more of the second balls, and upped their enthusiasm and work rate considerably.

The Yachtsmen were creating more goal opportunities through strikers Matt Blake and Ben Thompson but couldn't make the most of their chances.

Then Tilbury went on to increase their 2-0 lead against the run of play on 69 minutes through Emeil Aiken who latched on to a 40 yd pass which was not dealt with by the Wroxham back line. Aiken took one touch in the box before finishing with ease. This was Tilburys only shot on goal in the second period.

Wroxham then made their changes with Jones, Lemmon and Blake all being replaced by Speller, Harrop and Forshaw respectively, with all the substitutions assisting significantly in helping the Yachtsmen get back in the game.

Wroxham dominated the play for the last 15 minutes and pushed hard to get back in the game, and Wroxham did pull one back when a shot from Durrant was saved on to be found by Ben Thompson who put the rebound in on 76 minutes.

wroxham contnued to strive for goal for the remainder of the game and Jamie Forshaw scored a second for the Yachtsmen on 90 minutes but it was too late for Wroxham to complete a remarkable comeback.
