Batch continued to persevere with a 4-5-1 formation.
Matt Blake came in for Ben Thompson with skipper Gavin Lemmon back after suspension and Ben Lewis returning to the right back berth.
Apart from some early pressure from the visitors which brought a corner and a neat cross field piece of play that very nearly opened up the Wroxham defence, there was little action of note in the opening 15 mins.
The best move of the game so far came on 23 minutes when Matt Blake ran at the Needham defence down the left. He worked his way into the box before delivering a low cross across goal which found Ross Durrant at the far post who hit a pile-driver to produce a fine save from Johnson in the Needham goal.
This lifted the Yachtsmen who again went close to taking the lead when they had a free kick outside the area taken by Remy Gordon which almost went in as Needham’s Phil Boyland got his head on the ball but it went just wide for a Wroxham corner.
Then the Yachtsmen had another free-kick when Blake was taken out by Jemel Fox but this time Gordon’s got his free-kick over the Needham wall but it was straight at Johnson who saved easily.
Almost straight away the visitors broke to the other end and Rhys Henry, on loan from Leiston, got in a cross which hit Wroxham centre back Josh Carus Carus on the arm. It was hardly deliberate but Carus had his arm raised just enough for referee John Steel to award a penalty. Former Wroxham player Danny Bloomfield stepped up to take the spot kick and send Hilton the wrong way to give the Marketmen the lead on 26 mins.
Wroxham were not behind for long as three minutes later Blake played a fine cross field pass to Ross Durrant who ran on to fire a low shot past Johnson into the bottom corner.
After further pressure from the visitors the home side came close to scoring a second on 42 mins when Carus’s header from a corner was fumbled by the ‘keeper who recovered to make a brave save as Carus tried to force the rebound home.

By contrast, the first half did at least see some goal-scoring action but the second half was competitive but a rather feisty affair.
Blake did manage a header from a corner which was just wide and Ben Jones had a chance one on one with the keeper who brought off a good save.
The game was stopped for a few minutes after Ross Durrant was clattered by Needham’s left back Matt Redgrave.
On 75 minutes a shot from Matt Blake took a deflection and looped on the top of the net for a corner which again brought no reward.
The visitors best chance fell to substitute Duane Wright who ran at the Wroxham defence to get in a shot which sailed over.
Both sides made substitutions and Gavin Lemmon received a booking for a foul as he followed through.
Lemmon though, did have the best chance of the half on 86 minutes to give Wroxham the points but his half volley from just outside the area was well saved by Johnson.
With added injury time for the Durrant injury, the game fizzled out and a draw was a fair result.
