John Allen....Reporting from Trafford Park.
Wroxham Manager David Batch made three changes
to the side that beat Gt Wakering Rovers at the
weekend, Plummer, White and Speller coming in
for Hilton, Hipperson and Turner, who was relegated
to the bench for todays game.
The match kicked off and was played at a leisurely
pace as neither side showed any bite in the early
exchanges.
The first real attempt on goal coming in the seventh
minute, White's pass picking up Blake, who's shot
lacked power and was easily saved by Forest
keeper Omand.
2mins later Waltham had their first meaningful
attack, Captain Luke Stanley's free-kick cleared
by Carus the ball fell to Vickers on the edge of
Wroxhams box but the Forest man shot wide.
On 14mins Yachtsmen full-back Remi Gordon's
cross-come-shot looked promising but Referee
Nigel Phillips blew for off-side.
A long ball out of defence by Halliday was
picked up by the bustling Blake, again he put
his shot wide.
The game would spring into life on 26mins
when Waltham defender Sackey gifted Matt Blake
the ball on the edge of the box, the Wroxnam
target man made no mistake from eight
yards out to give his side the lead.
The Yachtsmen were on the attack again
minutes later, a Daniels solo run ending in a
shot that flew just wide of Omands goal.
Following a Waltham corner which came to
nothing, Forest no'3 Larin went into the
Ref's book after a clumsy tackle on
Eastaugh.
Paul Cook would be the next Wroxham man
to feel the wrath of a Forest challenge, the
big front man receiving extensive treatment
after being winded.
On 37mins Wroxham deservedly added a
second.
Wide man Speller's cross finding an
un-marked Matt Blake in the Waltham penalty
area who calmly shot home.
Wroxham were now well on top of this
game and should have made it three on
40mins.
Waltham keeper Omand throwing the ball
to Blake, who passed inside to the waiting
Cook but the Yachtsmen striker cleared the
cossbar from three yards out.

It took just 3mins for Waltham Forest to
get a foot-hold back on this game.
From a free-kick wide, inside the Wroxham
half Forest full-back Sackey's delivery was
allowed to find it's way across the Wroxham
box, where Waltham wide man Manu Dagher was
waiting and he fired home un-challenged.
Two minutes later Waltham were level.
A mix -up in the Wroxham defence between
White and Speller gifted Whitely the ball,
the Forest no'7 played the ball inside to the
waiting Luke Stanley who shot beyond Plummer
in the Wroxham goal.
Wroxham boss Batch then made a double
substitution, Langlois on for Cook and
Turner on for the tired looking Daniels.
No sooner than Langlois had entered the
fray, he was told to leave.
The Frenchman kicking out in retaliation
after he was caught in a challenge.
Things then went from bad to worse for the
Yachtsmen on the hour.
Forest wide man Whitely progressed down
the right wing before crossing to an
unmarked Courtney White, who, stretching,
connected his head to the ball, to send it
over the head of the dispearing Plummer
into the Wroxham net.
Durrant replaced Eastaugh on 65mins as
Wroxham strived to get back in this game.
The Wroxham sub was almost on target
5mins later, following good work from
Lemmon, the Yachtsmen Captain found
Durrant who's shot was well saved by the
Waltham keeper.
On 80mins Wroxham were level.
A Josh Turner corner-kick was bet by the
in-coming Josh Carus, who powered his header
into the Waltham net.
Right at the death Wroxham keeper
Plummer had to be on his toes making a
fine save to deny Whitely.
