Wroxham went into this game with half the normal back four missing, and a few patched up players having to start.
This match was definitely a game of two halves, with each team taking turns controlling the majority of each period.
The visiting League Champions were in confident mood and in truth should have been 2-0 up before Josh Carus opened the scoring in the 16th minute.
Ben Thompson, Paul Cook and Matt Daniels should've all done better when great chances fell to them, but it was the visitors set plays that again opened up the opposition after a great delivery from Gavin Lemmon saw defender Carus convert.
The Yachtsmen then begun dominating the game, and created several other good chances as they pressed to increase the lead.
The hosts were chasing shadows in midfield and their preferred combative style fizzled out quickly as Andy Eastaugh and Daniels made strong challenges on their main protagonists, who then decided they didn't want to tackle at all.
But then totally against the run of play Rovers equalised – from their first real effort on target. A defensive slip saw former Colchester United winger Kevin McLeod shoot under the body of Scott Howie from a one-on-one situation.
The hosts were buoyed by this and ceased arguing amongst themselves and their bench, and decided instead to concentrate on the game instead.
The final ten minutes of the first period saw Stanway finish stronger and in truth, could've easily gone ahead before the break.
The second period was a reversal of the first as Rovers’ direct style of launching the ball forward created pressure on the Wroxham goal.
Eventually a carbon copy of the first goal saw another defensive slip in the normally frugal Yachtsmen defence, which left deadly Stanway forward Ben Newson to tap into an empty net for his 25th goal of the season.
Wroxham however were not working the home goalkeeper at all during the second period, and introduced subs Matt Blake and teenagers Luke Thacker and Ben Jones in an attempt to liven things up.
Jones's tenacity paid dividends ten minutes before the end when his cross was handled in the area by a Rovers defender.
Midfield man Daniels equalised from the penalty spot firing past goalkeeper Paul Rutherford to level the scores.
For the last ten minutes it was the visitors who looked the more likely to win the game, with young gun Thacker looking quick and lively up front.
In truth both sides would've felt aggrieved had they lost the game as on chances, both teams could have scored five each.
