Cheshunt complete double to make task more difficult

Wroxham fell to a 3-1 defeat against a Cheshunt side who completed a double following there 2 nil win at Trafford Park on the opening day of the season in August.
The game came to life when Cheshunt gave away a free-kick on the edge of the area and Olly Humphries drilled a low strike into the corner.
The Yachtsmen were looking comfortable but Cheshunt equalised when the referee judged somewhat unfairly that Ross Gilfedder had diverted a goal-bound shot when the ball hit his arm in the Wroxham area and Tom Bruno calmly despatched the penalty.
The sides went in level at half-time.
In the second half, Bruno had a chance to take a second penalty when keeper Elliott Pride pulled down down Cheshunt striker Jason Hallett. The Cheshunt players were appealing for the Wroxham ‘keeper to be sent off but the referee spared him that. Pride then saved the resulting spot kick.
Cheshunt’s Joe Kizzi then scored with a towering header for 2-1 on 62 minutes with no one picking him up at the far post.
Luke Marshall skated across the Wroxham area before pulling the trigger with a low shot into the corner for the third on 74 minutes.
Wroxham battled hard to get back with Ross Gilfedder holding the ball up but lacking support.
This was perhaps not an unexpected defeat against a side still hoping for a play-off place. Wroxham remained second bottom on goal difference despite Great Wakering picking up a point at Norwich Utd but results elsewhere made the task to avoid relegation more difficult. The games against the teams immediately above them in the next 7 days at Brentwood and at home to Waltham Abbey are now likely to define whether the Yachtsmen will stay up.
