Wroxham won the battle of the relegation places as they grabbed a hard-fought win.

This was a game Wroxham really had to win to avoid being cast adrift at the bottom of the table. With neighbours Norwich Utd doing us a favour by getting a last minute winner against Thamesmead, we move above Mead and closer to the relegation pack.
The Yachtsmen included new signing Craig Bussens from Dereham but were without skipper Matt Cook who was injured in Tuesday’s defeat by Soham. Ben Lewis took the arm band and went on to put in a sterling performance as man of the match.
Two quickfire goals from new Craig Bussens and Ross Gilfedder in the 18th and 20th minutes gave Wroxham the lead after two defensive mistakes.
Wroxham looked quite comfortable with a two goal cushion against the Essex side under a new manager and a host of new players since they won 3-1 at Trafford Park in October.
The game came alive in the 73rd minute as the The Yachtsmen’s substitute Jordan Attree was harshly adjudged to have handled in the area, and Jake Gordon scored.
As Rovers pushed forward, Bussens scored his second of the game, a left-foot shot following great work down the right from Cruise Nyadzayo.
John Easterford gave Rover’s fans hope with a tap in after Steve Butterworth’s free-kick canned off the post but it was in vain as Wroxham held on for the win that took them off the foot of the table for the first time since early in the season.
The win gives the team a confidence boost for the next visit to Essex on Tuesday against Heybridge Swift who lost to Dereham on Saturday and from Wroxham's point of view is another six pointer.
