Jamie Forshaw got the ball rolling in the 8th minute with a superb 20 yard effort that flew into the top corner, before Finch bagged his first of the day with a cool finish on 34 minutes.
Despite Wroxham’s dominance, Maldon were still in the game and found a way back into it on 50 minutes, Mason Bloomfield beating Elliot Pride at his near post.
Wroxham responded in kind, Finch again providing a calm finish on 56 minutes to restore their lead, before Johnathon Nzengo was shown a straight red card for raising his hands on 71 minutes.
And a quick break one minute before the end completed the win, Finch providing the ball to Remy Gordon who slid home from three yards to seal the victory.
Wroxham made one change from the side that drew with Brentwood last Saturday, with new signing Kyle Baker making his debut at the expense of Gordon, who dropped to the bench.
The tacky surface underneath made for a scrappy opening, with possession changing hands frequently.
Wroxham saw the first opening go their way, Jack Garrod finding Forshaw with a lovely through ball to release the striker, who could only scuff his effort wide of the left hand post.
Mitch Hunter then had a 25 yard free kick for the visitors that was well saved by Pride down to his left, before Garrod and Forshaw combined again to give Wroxham the lead on eight minutes.
The winger produced some tricky play down the left flank to find space and lay towards Forshaw, who ran onto it to strike first time into the top left corner from 20 yards.
This gave Wroxham confidence – with Finch testing Darren Behcet with a well struck effort that the ‘keeper was a match to – whilst down the other end Mason Bloomfield headed wide when free from eight yards as the game became very open.
An airshot in the 16th minute from Ruddock Yala let Wroxham off the hook after Nzengo’s corner wasn’t cleared properly, before Behcet again denied Finch with a sprawling stop from the striker’s right footed effort.
Chances were coming frequently for both sides, with Garrod missing a golden one on 20 minutes to double Wroxham’s lead.
Finch released the winger with a quick break, with Garrod nicking the ball past the last man to give himself the whole Maldon half to run into, only to fluff his lines at the last as he tried to be too cute with his dink that fell straight into Behcet’s hands.
Finch was again in the thick of it on the half hour mark, finding space down the left channel to strike at goal, only to be thwarted by Behcet for a third time, the ‘keeper standing big to deny the striker’s effort.
However, he would not have to wait long to finally find the back of the net as he made it 2-0 to Wroxham on 34 minutes.
The striker was released by Forshaw, with Phil Anderson getting the ball stuck under his feet to let him in, the mercurial front-man composing himself before coolly slotting into the bottom left corner.
This second goal gave the home side the confidence they needed as they began to assume control of the match.
Forshaw should have made it 3-0 on 40 minutes, the striker leaning back with his effort after some good running from Garrod down the right, before his touch just let him down after being found by Finch with the goal at his mercy just before the break.
The Yachtsmen started the second half in the same confident manner, but a quick break from Maldon on 50 minutes found them a way back into the game.
A fast attack found the visitors with a 4-on-4 situation, with Tunde Adewunmi finding Blomfield down the left, the striker taking a touch before firing past Pride at his near post.
The visitors were pushing the Wroxham back four hard, with a couple balls in from the right causing them problems that were well dealt with.
With danger signs coming in defence, Wroxham needed something up top to ease the pressure and they found it on 56 minutes as Finch restored their two goal lead.
Danny White’s lofted ball was superbly brought down by the striker, who drove past his man before guiding his effort across Behcet and into the far corner.
This goal came as a blow to Maldon, with Wroxham wrestling back control of the game as they began to take the sting out of it.
A rather sedate period was brought to life in the 71st minute, with a late tackle from Nzengo on David Hinton sparking handbags, with the Maldon man raising his hands and earning himself an early bath.
Surprisingly, this seemed to be a catalyst for the visitors as they began to attack Wroxham again, although the hosts were equal to all that was thrown their way.
Wroxham were still finding spaces but were unable to really make the extra man count, Finch having a potential chance for his third taken off his toe by Anderson, before Garrod fired wide.
Maldon were still pressing, but the quality in Wroxham’s attack would eventually pay as they found their fourth to put the game to bed on 89 minutes.
Finch beat the offside trap to race down the left, before finding an inch perfect cross to find the arriving Gordon, who tapped in to seal then win and make it three games unbeaten for Stewart Larter’s men.
