The Yachtsmen came out of the blocks quickest and were 1-0 up after 19 minutes, Christy Finch bagging his 8th goal of the season after David Hinton’s precise through ball.
Wroxham were in control but couldn’t make their dominance pay as Redbridge found a way back into the game, Mark Nougher finding space to fire low past Elliot Pride with 37 minutes gone.
And they turned the game on its head in first half stoppage time to take the lead, Chinedu McKenzie linking up well with the dangerous Brian Moses to slot home.
Nathan Stone then pulled it level with 15 minutes to go, before Matt Halliday was shown a second yellow for a late challenge with 10 minutes to go.
But this seemed to spur the home side on and they snatched the win late on, White heading in Hinton’s free kick to seal the victory.
Wroxham made three changes from the side that lost to Waltham Abbey on Saturday, with Christy Finch, Danny Rust and David Hinton all returning to the starting XI.
The home side seemed intent on attacking from the off, Finch and Nathan Stone linking up well in the second minute to spark an attack, the former making the byline before pulling it back to Jamie Forshaw who was beaten to the ball by Tyron Thomas.
Forshaw was then almost in again 30 seconds later as the home side continued to press, the Wroxham front-man finding space down the inside left to fire in a shot that flicked the side netting and wide.
Despite the early attacking impetus from The Yachtsmen, their passing game wasn’t at its best as many balls were going astray, making for a scrappy opening passage.
Finch was looking menacing on his return and he forced Mark Parker into a smart stop with 12 minutes on the clock, turning on the edge of the box to fire in a sharp effort that Parker tipped round the post.
He was at it again moments later – dragging a shot wide when well placed – before he made it third time lucky to hit the back of the net and give his side the lead.
A short corner from Danny White led to the midfielder firing in a smart shot that rebounded to Hinton on the edge of the box, who slid in a lovely ball for Finch to turn on it and strike it across the goalkeeper and in off the right post.
Wroxham were the side in control and were one pass away on numerous occasions to unlocking their opponents defence again.
On the other hand, Redbridge were forced to play on the break, with most of their best moments coming through the aerial ability of Brian Moses up top, the striker heading just wide in their best opening on the first half an hour.
Gordon had a good chance after Parker flapped at Danny White’s ball in – the goalkeeper getting up well to block with his feet - before Stone showed signs of his physical presence, taking a high ball down on his chest before firing just wide from 25 yards.
With the home side looking comfortable as the game edged towards half time, they were caught on their heels with 37 minutes gone as Redbridge levelled the scores against the run of play.
Mark Nougher found himself free on the edge of the box as Wroxham’s back four failed to pick us his late dart into the box, the midfielder playing a neat one two with Chinedu Mckenzie and firing his shot low past Elliot Pride to restore parity.
This goal changed the whole complex of the half as Redbridge were suddenly in the ascendancy and, on the stroke of half time, they shocked the home side to take the lead.
Mckenzie was again in the thick of it, getting in behind Halliday to find Moses on the left, the striker doing well to compose himself and slide the ball back to his strike partner, who fired into the vacant net to send his side in front.
The visitors seemed fairly happy to rest on their laurels as the second half began, with Wroxham struggling to break down their rigid shape as once again their passing began to falter.
The Yachtsmen were finding it hard to get any sort of rhythm to their play, with their lowly opponents looking the more dangerous as the half wore on, Patrick Damali firing over with a fierce shot just past the hour mark in the only real chance of note.
Then, out of nothing, the home side were back in it as Nathan Stone grabbed his first goal for the club with 15 minutes to go.
Finch found himself space on the edge of the box to turn and strike low, Parker palming the ball straight into the advancing Stone’s path, who reacted quickest to squeeze his effort in on the angle.
With Wroxham looking to push for a winner, their intentions were dealt a harsh blow as Matt Halliday was shown a second yellow card and ultimately an early bath to hand the initiative to their visitors.
However, this actually seemed to work in their favour as they began playing the best football they had all half and suddenly were on top.
Stone forced Parker into a diving stop to his left with a scuffed effort, before Finch missed a golden opportunity, picking the ball up from his strike partner in the 86th minute, only to drag his shot wide of the near post when free from 10 yards.
It would not matter though, with White popping up at the right moment to snatch the win for his side, the robust midfielder rising highest to nod home David Hinton’s 88th minute free kick and snatch the win for his side.
