The Yachtsmen were superior from the off, taking the lead after 11 minutes with a superb 25 yard effort from Ross Durrant that flew into the top corner.
Joe Marsden then made it 2-0 with a superb 50 yard run that he finished off with great composure at the near post after 22 minutes, before Danny Self cemented their lead in the 52nd minute with a cleanly struck volley.
Durrant and Remy Gordon both went close as they went in search for a fourth, but 3-0 was how it stayed as they strolled to a comprehensive victory.
Young goalkeeper Kingsley Barnes was making his senior debut for Wroxham, with Sam Harty and Remy Gordon returning to the starting XI after missing Saturday’s draw with Erith and Belvedere through suspension.
Wroxham took immediate control of the game with their precise and incisive passing, Matt Hallday and Harty both with good efforts that went straight at James Bergin in goal.
Tim Cary then had two chances in the space of two minutes as they looked to reward their dominance with an early goal, first smashing his shot straight at Bergin, before the ‘keeper clawed away another close range effort with his fingertips.
However, it wasn’t long before Wroxham turned their dominance into a lead.
Ross Durrant picked the ball up from 25 yards out with 11 minutes gone, taking a touch before unleashing an unstoppable strike into the top left hand corner to make it 1-0 to the hosts.
Remy Gordon then almost doubled their lead in outrageous style five minutes later, firing a 40 yard effort just over the bar as Bergin was left in no mans land.
Wroxham were beginning to have fun as The Tangerines had no answer to their fluid attacking play, Joe Marsden doubling their lead with a top draw effort after 22 minutes.
The right back picked the ball up on the halfway line before advancing on a marauding run down the line, beating four men before cutting into the box and slotting in at the near post for 2-0.
Despite the lead, Diss were still looking to attack, creating their best chance of the game with 28 minutes gone as Adam Burroughs half volley from just inside the box forced Kingsley Barnes into a smart tip round the post.
Gordon had his second smart effort of the night as the game hit the half hour mark, his 20 yard shot clipping the bar on its way over after some good hold up play by Stephen Drake down the left.
Diss were still in the game but their forwards were being well marshalled by the Wroxham defence, limiting them to only long range effort as the home side strolled to half time with their two-goal lead still intact.
Mac Gee came on for Marsden at half time, the right back picking up a knock from a strong Burroughs challenge at the end of the first half.
The change didn’t change the home side’s momentum though and they soon compounded their lead as Danny Self bagged his first goal since his comeback from injury.
Durrant’s 52nd minute corner was headed away straight into Self’s path, who adjusted his position to the flight of the ball to fire a cleanly struck volley into the back of the net despite Mark Shadrack’s best effort on the line.
The Yachtsmen weren’t happy to sit on their lead and continued to pile forward in search of a fourth, Durrant coming close just after the hour mark, bending his effort just over the bar after some good link up play with Gordon.
Wroxham were easing their way to victory as the game entered the last 15 minutes, Pawel Guziejko thrusting Marcus Wilkinson and Jack Guyton into the action at the expense of Tim Cary and Sam Harty.
Gordon – whose effort in the game deserved a goal – almost made it 4-0 with five minutes to go, latching onto a through ball only to fire his shot straight at Bergin in goal, but the home side were made to settle for three and deservedly progress to the next round.
