The Yachtswomen fully deserved their victory after defeating Needham Market 4-2 at Bloomfields.
Wroxham pressured the hosts straight from the kickoff and took the lead within a minute when Gambell intercepted a back past and slotted the ball past the keeper.
It was all Wroxham in the early stage and Gambell scored her second, scoring from a Clarke free-kick.
The Yachtswomen did not let up there and after 20 minutes it was 3-0 with Clarke sending a superb strike on the half– volley into the top corner from an excellent cross-field ball from Kett.
However, the three goal advantage lasted only 2 minutes when the referee awarded a questionable penalty despite being at least 30 yards away, which was converted.
This spurred on the home side and only a fine covering tackle from Clarke prevented a dangerous move realising a shot on target,
Wroxham had strong appeals for a penalty turned down when a player was upended in the area before Bullard almost scored the Yachtswomen a 4th but her effort came back off the post.
Three minutes another controversial penalty was awarded to the hosts, despite the assistant referee saying the ball had gone out for a goal-kick. Once again the penalty was converted with Wroxham holding a slender lead at the break.
Unlike the first half the early stages were at a pedestrian pace until Gowing in the Wroxham goal save well after a quick break by Needham.
Wroxham slowly started to gain the ascendency as the half went on and a Hodgson effort was narrowly wide from a corner.
The away defence well-marshalled by Kett and Robson was withstanding all attacks from the hosts and Wroxham scored a deserved 4th goal with 15 minutes remaining when Fuller outpaced a defender to wrap the game up.
Despite late pressure from the hosts, Wroxham saw the game out and the victory moved them up to fifth in the league table.
