The Yachtswomen were beaton 3-1 by Luton Town at Barton Rovers FC.
It was the visitors who had the first meaningful attack with Alexander threading the ball to Middleton but a covering defender forced the ball out for a throw-in.
Luton missed a good chance to take the lead when a through ball split the Wroxham defence but the attacker after rounding Gowing put the ball wide of the goal.
Midway through the half, play was mainly confined in midfield with neither keeper being tested.
Wroxham’s first real chance on goal came from a Densley corner but Alexander was unable to forced the ball home.
With few clear-cut chances, it was no surprise the teams went into the break goalless.
As in the first half the first attack came from the Yachtswomen but Densley’s shot was wibe of the target after good work from Alexander and Middleton
The away defence marshalled by Hodgson and Kett had looked rarely troubled and it took a rasping shot from 20yards to give Luton the lead just before the hour mark.
As the half progressed, Luton started to have majority of the possession but still not creating many clear-cut chances.
The Yachtswomen had a good chance to level the scores when a goalmouth scramble saw the ball cleared off the line with none of the away side able to force the ball home.
Six minutes from time, a scramble in the Wroxham goal area saw the ball forced over the line off the post to double the Luton lead.
A third followed as Wroxham pushed forward to get something out of the game.
Wroxham scored in the 96th minute with Olive firing the ball home from aRobson past nut it was too little to late.
