It was the hosts who started on the front foot with Waters forcing a corner before Catchpole receiving the ball out wide saw her cross collected by the Lynn defender.
Wroxham continued to push forward and from a corner, Bradford headed just over the bar.
As the half progressed the heavens opened and the game was played in torrential rain with water starting to lay on the playing surface.
Despite the conditions, the pressure from Wroxham paid off with Densley firing home after the keeper parried Water’s shot.
Hodgson was replaced by Kett shortly afterwards after receiving a head injury. Lynn’s sole effort on goal was a free kick which was well over the bar.
The home continued to push forward and only fine saves by the away keeper from Densley and Waters kept the lead to a single goal. The final action of the half saw Catchpole’s shot spilled by the keeper and out for a corner before the ball was cleared off the line by a Lynn defender as Wroxham went into the break with a deserved
1-0 lead.
The second half started similar to the first with Wroxham pushing forward and most of the play in the Lynn half.
The rain had relented after the break although still falling and play was mainly contained in midfield with passing the ball becoming increasing difficult.
Densley always lively in midfield with O’Neill mopping up loose balls were in control of the game and it was Densley who tried a long shot which was saved at the second attempt by the keeper.
Wroxham doubled their lead midway through the half after the ball was won in midfield and threaded through to Catchpole who rifled the ball into the roof of the goal.
IA rare Lynn attack saw Gowing, who had been a spectator for much of the game, save at the feet of the away striker to prevent the Linetts from pulling a goal back.
The final attack of the game saw Lynn concede a free kick just outside the area, but the set-piece came off the wall for a corner, which came to nothing with Wroxham winning 2-0 and close the gap on the teams above them in the table.
