

The Yachtswomen started on the front foot putting their opponents under pressure from the start and took the lead in the 11th minute with Birchall scoring after Love headed the ball into her path.
Wroxham continued to push forward and Bullard went close before a free-kick from Rowland into the area saw it missed by all players. At the other end Prentice into the Wroxham goal had to be alert collecting a ball played through the centre.
Both Birchall and Love forced the Linnets keeper into good saves before a controversial goal saw King’s Lynn equalise. Pasque headed home a Pleavin corner and whilst the players celebrated the ball was kicked up the field to a Linnets player to score with a shot over Prentice, with the Wroxham players unaware that the referee had blown for a foul.
It got worse for the Yachtswomen two minutes later, when a defence mix-up saw King’s Lynn take a 2-1 lead into the half-time break.
Stunned by this reverse, Wroxham came out fighting in the second half. Russell had a shot deflected for a corner then Birchall saw an effort just wide of the post. However, the equaliser came with the half just 3 minutes old; Russell firing home a long range shot off the underside of the bar.
Two minutes later, it was 3-2 to Wroxham. Birchall intercepted a pass, ran wide of the Linnets defence and fired a powerful shot past the keeper.
The Yachtswomen were now enjoying majority of the possession and on the hour mark increased their lead. Good interplay between Love and Birchall saw the former thread the ball through to Bullard who calmly slotted the ball past the keeper and five minutes later Birchall made it 5-2 converting a Bullard cross.
An own goal conceded under pressure from Bullard trying to get on to the end of a Birchall saw the Linnets concede a sixth goal and effectively end any chance of a comeback by King’s Lynn.
With the game going into added time, Wroxham used their full quota of substitutes to give the bench a run out. Two minutes into the added time, King’s Lynn scored a consolation goal, however eight minutes later with the last play of the game, Russell completed her brace to give Wroxham a 7-3 victory and set up an away game at Luton Town in the next round.
