Following the meeting of the Football Association Structure Committee, Wroxham Football Club are delighted to confirm that they will again be competing at Step 4 level of the National League football pyramid.
Chairman Kevin Attree commented: “The reprieve is much appreciated and is really good news. It was disappointing to finish where we did in the league but we move forward both on and off the pitch with the support of sponsors and local businesses.”
“I am certain that next season will bring with it better and more consistent performances led by Damian Hilton and therefore a much better finishing position. We are greatly looking forward to competing with Dereham and new Ryman League members, Norwich United in local derbies next season. We also urge local businesses to become involved, support the club and increase our supporter base further which will add to performances on the pitch.”
Manager Damian Hilton commented: “We always knew there was a chance that only 2 teams would go down from the Ryman League. Until you get confirmation then it leaves things a little up in the air, but it’s great news for everyone involved with the club. We all know we have under-achieved last season but myself and the players are all determined to put things right come August”.
Further information about the structure of the leagues will be available on the FA website.
