Wroxham return to action on Saturday when Redbridge visit the Ginger Pickle Arena.

It’s been a strange time since the last 90 minutes, away at Bowers & Pitsea.

The away game at Felixstowe & Walton United was abandoned following the unfortunate injury to Billy Johnson, and the most important factor is that Billy is recovering well.

Due to Takeley’s involvement in the FA Trophy last Saturday, the Yachtsmen had a blank weekend which, ahead of another busy schedule, gave the players the opportunity to get some much needed rest.

Redbridge, last season’s losing play off finalists, arrive by the broads with three wins from the last four and only a 94th minute equaliser from Gorleston’s Aaron Bullent denied them a fourth straight victory.

Wroxham and the Motormen shared six goals back in March with Southgate’s men denied a stonewall penalty at the death when Josh Hazell was felled as he was about tap the ball into an empty net - which would’ve been his third of the evening.

Redbridge sit fourth in the league going into Saturday’s encounter with 26 points from 13 games. Wroxham would go above the London based outfit, on goal difference, with a win.

Next Tuesday, attention turns to the Norfolk Senior Cup Fourth Round when Harleston Town of the Thurlow Nunn Premier League are the visitors.
