After the midweek heroics, we host Little Oakley, a team we know little about.

Promoted to step four last season, the Essex based visitors have made a decent start in the Isthmian League Division One North.

Having played six league games, they have amassed ten points, and last month beat Lowestoft Town, 5-0, at Crown Meadow.

Saturday is the first ever meeting between the two sides and we will be looking to build on the impressive home form that has helped us to third in the table.

Manager, Jordan Southgate is sweating on the availability of goalkeeper, Tom Coombe who was forced to leave the field injured against Hashtag and Sammy Johnson is absent again, serving the second of a three game ban.

A change of luck is due on the injury front with Asa McGeachy, Adam Crookes, Gabe Overton, Ethan Flack, Jordan Forbes and Isaac Jobling all missing the draw in midweek.

The superb start to the league campaign and the number of points accumulated is testament to the management and players. Only once has Southgate been able to name an unchanged side.

A point gained in midweek, felt like three when Charlie Moore headed a 98th minute equaliser with striker Ryan Hawkins wearing the goalkeeper jersey after replacing Coombe between the sticks.

Immediately after the Little Oakley game, attention turns to the trip to AFC Sudbury on Tuesday night as the relentless run of fixtures continue.
