Although our Reserve team was promoted to the Thurlow Nunn, we will continue our stay in the Anglian Combination with the launch of a new development team.
Wroxham Development will compete in the Division 4 North in a 14 team league for the 2025/26 season.
To lead the team, a new management team has joined the Club. Callum Lindsay and Derrick Johnson have joined the Club to lead the newly formed team.
Commenting on their appointment, Callum said: "We are both extremely excited to begin this new chapter at such an incredible Club, one that is steeped in history and ambition. The opportunity to work within a progressive environment that values the development of young players, with a clear and achievable pathway into senior football, is something we simply couldn’t turn down.
Having worked together previously at Hockering, where we enjoyed success in both the League Cup and the Norfolk Primary County Cup, we’re confident that our partnership can bring the same energy, discipline, and identity to Wroxham’s Development setup. Our plan is to build a team culture rooted in hard work, technical development, and tactical intelligence. We want to create a space where young talent can flourish, make mistakes, learn, and ultimately be ready to take the next step in their football journey. This is about more than just results, it’s about building a foundation for long-term success at Wroxham FC."
Club Chair James Blower said:"We're delighted that Callum and Derrick have come on board and are excited by this new team. Wroxham Development offers an opportunity for our younger players, who are not quite yet ready for the Thurlow Nunn, to continue their development. I want to thank deputy Chair, Mark Wilkinson, and Stuart Moore of Harmony Home Improvements, for their support in making this happen."
