Wroxham FC are sad to announce the departure of Ryan Miles, who is leaving to join Needham Market at step 3 for the 2025/26 season.

Club Statement: Ryan Miles Departs for Step 3 Opportunity

Wroxham FC can confirm that Ryan Miles will be leaving the club to join a Step 3 Needham Market for the 2025/26 season.

Ryan’s departure marks the end of a remarkable eight-year journey with us—one that began when he joined our reserves as a 17-year-old, managed by current first team manager Jordan Southgate, from those initial days, it was clear Ryan had something special, and he has more than delivered on that promise.

He played a pivotal role in some of the club’s most memorable moments in recent years, most notably as the league’s top scorer in our Step 5 promotion-winning season, netting over 30 goals. In total, Ryan made just over 200 appearances for Wroxham, scoring 88 goals and earning countless plaudits along the way. Most recently, he was named the 2024/25 Manager’s Player of the Season—a fitting way to cap off his time with the club.

Manager Jordan Southgate has said ‘I never want to see a player leave, especially one of Ryan’s quality, but he goes with our very best wishes. If anyone has earned the chance to test themselves at the next level, it’s him. I personally want to thank Ryan for everything he’s given to Wroxham Football Club, myself and his team mates along the way, he has been a pleasure to work with, shows a fantastic attitude and works tirelessly game after game, I look forward to watching him succeed in the next chapter of his career’

Wroxham Chair, James Blower, added: 'Ryan has been both a fantastic player for this Club and a role model in terms of his conduct. We are incredibly sad to lose him but he has earned his opportunity at a higher level and we wish him nothing but the best. He will always be welcome at Trafford Park.'
