
For the second time in as many weeks the Yachtsmen travelled to Ram Meadow, this time in search of league points.
With the league fixtures scheduling two games in 48 hours it was not surprising that the manager Jordan Southgate made changes this afternoon.
In came Robbie Linford into the back four and Harry Barker came in at right back for his first game of the season.
In a game of few scoring opportunities Wroxham came alive at the start of the second half. Ryan Miles feed Ryan Hawkins who in turn picked out substitute Joao Rangel , but his shot was comfortably saved by the Bury keeper.
The game turned in the 57th minute when Bury’s Upson was shown the red card following an ‘off the ball’ altercation with Wroxham’s Ryan Hawkins.
Bury, now reduced to ten men, were forced on to the back foot.
On 78 minutes Wroxham perhaps created their best chance of the game with a cross from the left by Travis Dodsworth was met in the air by Joao Rangel but his header back across the goal flashed past the post.
At the final whistle both teams had to settled for a point.
The Yachtsmen with 4 points from three games sit comfortably in 8th position in the Isthmian League North.
Next Saturday Wroxham return to FA Cup action with a trip to Canvey Island to face Concord Rangers.
