Tomorrow , Saturday 30th September, Wroxham FC players, officials and supporters will be making their way to Hertfordshire for the Isthmian League game versus Enfield FC. Enfield ground share with Bishops Stortford FC.
To say Enfield have had a turbulent month, is a gross understatement. Following the passing of a director at the end of August, the club parted company with then manager, Jamie Cureton. That led to an exodus of players, giving new manager , Alex Salmon, the task of recruiting replacements.
It is little wonder that they struggled initially, but a late victory over Bowers & Pitsea in the Velocity (league) Cup seems to have boosted confidence on the field. However the loss of their major sponsor this week will have created further problems off the pitch.
Wroxham travel on the back of a hard fought goalless draw against Witham Town on Tuesday night. The defence was bolstered by the return of Josh Hazell. Nevertheless the absence of Travis Dodsworth and Ryan Miles through injury, means that Manager, Jordan Southgate has some selection issues to resolve.
