New clubs and new derbies

Isthmian League North 2026-27

Next season the Yachtsmen will visit a number of familiar grounds while also travelling to some clubs for the first time in a number of years.

Thurlow Nunn League champions and play off winners, Mulbarton Wanderers and Fakenham Town ensure that there will be more local derbies to entertain non league football supporters.

AFC Sudbury and Hashtag United ( now ground sharing with Redbridge) return to the Isthmian League North after a couple of seasons away.

Other new clubs in the league come from various parts of Essex. Just a couple of stops on the Central Line finds Buckhurst Hill who are new to the Isthmian League.

To the north of Essex , Little Oakley join from the Essex Senior League, and finally perhaps the longest away trip of the season will see the Yachtsmen travel to play Canvey Island FC.

These new clubs replace Brantham Athletic, Mildenhall Town, Downham Town, and Heybridge Swifts who were relegated. Meanwhile Maldon and Tiptree and Stanway Rovers have been promoted to the Isthmian Premier League.
