It's been a busy summer for Wroxham boss David Batch as he prepares the club for a historic first season in Division One North of the Ryman League.
No fewer than eight new faces have joined up with last season's Ridgeons Premier Division title winning team to help strengthen every area of the squad.
Batch has freshened up his first team squad by bringing in young and hungry players that want to play for the Yachtsmen.
22-year-old Andrew Plummer, released from Needham Market in January, has been signed to replace the retired Scott Howie as first choice goalkeeper.
Defenders Josh Turner (20), Matt Halliday (25) and Ben Lewis (19) will provide competition for the likes of Josh Carus, Graham Challen and Danny Self.
Midfielder Danny White (28) re-signed for Wroxham after leaving King's Lynn Town over the summer due to work commitments.
Exciting wingers Joe Marsden (19) and Jamie Spellar from Diss (24) have been recruited to add width to the team.
Forward Claudio Langlois (19) will battle it out for a place in the team along with regulars Paul Cook, Ben Thompson and Matt Blake.
"The players we have recruited are very similar in type to the players that have departed," said Batch.
"That's because the players who are no longer with us have been magnificent for this club, and I cannot heap enough praise on any of them."
Seasoned Wroxham regulars Scott Howie (retired), Shaun Howes (work commitments), Gary Gilmore (travelling distances) and Damian Hilton (travelling distances) have all departed Tafford Park.
Without a doubt the majority of the Yachtsmen faithful will acknowledge they have all been big players for Wroxham over the years and also big characters on the pitch.
These are big boots indeed to fill.
But Batch is looking to start a new dawn at Trafford Park with placing his trust in younger legs.
"The new players coming in are direct replacements for those that have gone.
"All of them are talented and experienced at a higher level, but happen to be a bit younger.
"I am really excited about the younger ones we have recruited, as I think we may have players who are more than capable in the near future impacting at first team level," added Batch.
Batch has looked at quite a few other potential signings but is looking to add quality to his squad, not quantity.
