Four games to go !

After Saturday’s victory at Concord Rangers, things are becoming a little clearer in the Isthmian League North.

Asa McGeachy’s first half goal guaranteed that the Yachtsmen returned to Norfolk with all three points. As manager Jordan Southgate explained in his post match interview with Ahoy Radio: “ Before the Basildon game last week, I set the squad the target of nine points from the next three games. That was ambitious but I thought possible. After the first two of those games we have six points, and four goals and two clean sheets.”

Once again other results went the way of the Yachtsmen. With former Yachtsman, Ryan Curtis getting a late equaliser for Gorleston against Newmarket and Haringey Borough only collecting one point at Mildenhall Town. As a result Wroxham have a five point cushion with four games remaining in the season.

However as Jordan Southgate was quick to point out, things can easily change, and surprising results can happen at this time of the season . Next Saturday the Yachtsmen travel down the A140 to already relegated Ipswich Wanderers. The Suffolk team freed from the pressure of worrying about relegation ripped up the form book on Saturday securing a 2-1 victory at midtable Cambridge City.

More details of Wroxham’s game at Ipswich Wanderers later in the week, but for now the league table makes much happier reading for supporters of the Yachtsmen.
