Following their bewildering 3-2 defeat at Newmarket Town on Easter Monday, the Yachtsmen go into tomorrow’s game knowing that only a home win will guarantee their survival in Isthmian League North for next season .
Tomorrow afternoon will be 90 minutes of ‘what ifs’. Wroxham have clear points advantage over, Haringey Borough and Newmarket Town , as the league table shows. However much depends on how tomorrow’s matches turn out.
While Haringey travel to play-off bound Brightlingsea Regent, Newmarket make their way to Canvey Island, to face Concord Rangers, who have been in free fall in recent weeks.
On paper Wroxham face the toughest test playing second place Bury Town. However as Brian Clough once said : the game is not played on paper, it’s played on grass, and Wroxham have proved that they can go toe to toe with the top teams in the league, as shown with the 2-2 draw in the last home game against newly crowned league champions, Brentwood Town.
It’s a perfect opportunity to get down to the Ginger Pickle Arena at Trafford Park and support the Yachtsmen in the quest to remain in Isthmian League North. The game kicks off at 3pm.
