Wroxham FC are pleased to announce that the majority of last season’s squad have already re-signed for a historic first season at Step 4.

As the first ever Norfolk Club to be promoted to Step 4 Wroxham go into the campaign having already secured the services of defenders Danny Self, Josh Carus, Shaun Howes and Remy Gordon.

Player of the Year Andy Eastaugh has joined Ross Durrant, Ben Jones, David Hinton and Players Player of the Year Matt Daniels in midfield.

A strike force of Matt Blake, Paul Cook, Ben Thompson, Claudio Langlois and Jamie George have already put pen to paper too.

Manager David Batch said: "We have a good squad to build on from last season and weren’t in any way looking to revamp it.

"I still have a handful of current players to speak to about next season, but due to time I simply have not had the chance as this point."

An interesting addition is striker Claudio Langlois from France, who was with the club as a 16-year-old the season before last.

"Claudio is 6ft 4in, very quick and strong and at times made an impression as a young kid in our team that finished third in the league," said Batch.

"In hindsight we probably expected too much of him after a blistering start and had he not had to go home to complete his studies, he would have pressed hard for a place last season I am sure.

"Fortunately he has finished his studies and scored bags of goals in France whilst doing so.

"He will re-join as a hungry 19-year-old who has already experienced living away from home and our level of football – and I think he will push on and stake a strong claim to play."
