Adam Race steps down as head coach of Wroxham Women

After almost two years in the role, Adam Race has stepped down from his role of Head Coach of Wroxham Women.

Race's first season in charge saw the Yachtswomen finish 5th in the Eastern Region Women's Football League Premier Division with 37 points from 22 games. They were also finalists in the ERWFL League Cup Final, where they lost to Real Bedford, who have just won promotion to step 3. The Yachtswomen also reached the Senior Cup final losing to step 4 side Norwich City Women at Carrow Road.

Paying tribute to Race, Wroxham Chairman James Blower said:

Adam came to Wroxham off the back of four years of progression with Long Stratton Women. He has built on that here - working tirelessly to develop an excellent squad and leaves with much to be proud of. He is a talented coach and a fine man. I'm sad to see him go but he leaves with my thanks and gratitude and I wish him well.

He will always be welcome at Trafford Park and I wish him well with his playing career with Long Stratton and hope that he picks up his coaching career again when playing and family commitments allow. Thank you Adam."

The search for a successor has is underway and applications for the position should be sent to james@wroxhamfc.club.
