Tomorrow, Saturday 4th November, the Yachtsmen set sail for the Essex coastline and the River Blackwater, to take on Maldon and Tiptree.
Our opponents are in a rich vein of form at home, having won their last four games there. Earlier this season a change of manager saw former England international, Peter Taylor depart, and in recent weeks , former Norwich City striker,Jamie Cureton has joined as assistant coach.
Maldon and Tiptree currently stand 9th in the league table. Wroxham’s position is complicated by having games in hand on many of the clubs around them. Last week’s late victory against Brightlingsea Regent will do much to bolster confidence, in a squad that has been hit by injuries in recent weeks.
Following a red card late in last Saturday’s game, the Yachtsmen will be without regular centre back Josh Hazell for tomorrow’s game. On a positive note, Jordan Forbes, has completed his three month loan spell at Sheringham FC and now is available for selection.
Admission at Maldon and Tiptree is Adults £10,Concessions £5 , Under 18s £3
Programmes are in digital format
The ground is ‘dog friendly’ although dogs are not permitted in the clubhouse.
Please note: This week has seen heavy rain across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. As a result there will be an early morning pitch inspection , we should know around 9.30am Saturday whether the game can go ahead.
