The Yachtsmen are back on the road again this Saturday when they travel to Suffolk to meet Bury Town FC in the Preliminary Road of the FA Cup. The club are under no illusions and expect this tie to be fundamentally different from the 7-0 defeat that they inflicted upon their opponents in the last round.
Bury Town have reached this stage by defeating Biggleswade in the last round, and followed that with an opening day league win against Brentwood Town. However the home side will be without a goalkeeper & striker, as the two players were given red cards during a recent county cup defeat , and are now suspended.
Last season the Yachtsmen came away from Bury Town with a creditable goalless draw on a cold February evening; should Saturday’s cup tie end in a draw, then the replay would be at Trafford Park , next Tuesday 22nd August.
One player that Wroxham supporters will be familiar with, is Oli Yun, who joined the Suffolk club from Dereham during the summer. As Bury Town play in an all blue strip, Wroxham will be wearing their mint & black on Saturday.
