Wroxham FC is delighted to announce the signing of Adam Crookes.
Adam joins the Yachtsmen following a spell at Gainsborough Trinity, in the Northern Premier League.
The signing is a major coup for the club with manager, Jordan Southgate fighting off strong competition for the central defender who has made 49 appearances in the Football League for Port Vale and has also represented Grimsby Town and York City in the National League.
Upon obtaining Adam’s signature, Jordan commented:
“I am personally delighted to welcome Adam to the football club.
“This is a real coup for us, when a player who has accumulated over 150 appearances across League Two and the National League suddenly becomes an option, it naturally attracts interest from a number of clubs.
“We’re therefore particularly pleased that Adam has chosen Wroxham and bought into what we are building here.
“From our first conversations, it was clear that Adam’s ambitions and mentality aligned with ours. He brings outstanding quality on the pitch, but just as importantly he brings the professional standards off the pitch that will have a positive impact throughout our dressing room.
“Having been part of a National League promotion-winning squad, Adam knows what it takes to be successful. That winning mentality and experience of competing at a high level will be invaluable for our younger players and for the group as a whole.
“As a club, we are determined to build on last season’s eighth-place finish and Adam’s arrival gives us a boost in trying to achieve that.
“On behalf of everyone at Wroxham Football Club, I’d like to welcome Adam and we’re all looking forward to seeing him in blue and white this season.”
Adam’s registration has already been approved by the Isthmian League and he can’t wait to get started:
“I’m really pleased to be joining Wroxham. It’s all happened pretty quickly after moving to Norfolk less than two weeks ago and searching for a club here.
“When I met the manager I heard all the right things and the club seems to do things properly.
“I’ve met the lads already and everyone has been really welcoming. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone at the club and hopefully we can have a good season together”.
Welcome aboard Adam.
