A goal in each half from striker, Ryan Hawkins ensured that the home team would take the three points. For Hawkins it was his 4th and 5th goals in April, taking his total to 21 goals for the campaign.

The visitors from Essex, were already guaranteed a place in the end of season play offs, but defeat to the Yachtsmen meant that they have lost home advantage in the play off semi-final to be held next week.

In truth once Hawkins opened the scoring with a long range effort in the 29th minute , victory for the Yachtsmen never seemed in doubt.

The second goal midway through the second half , a free kick struck with force by Hawkins that went through the Bowers keeper’s hands on its way to the net, ensured the victory.

Victory saw the Yachtsmen finish the season in 12th place in Isthmian League North, having amassed 48 points.
